“2022 FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION THE DEBATE”

French voters will go to the polls on April 24th for the second round of the country’s presidential election. France 24’s English language channel will broadcast live (with simultaneous translation in English) the presidential debate between President Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, organized by the French national channels France 2 and TF1 on Wednesday April 20th at 9.00pm. 

At 8:45pm, France 24 will carry a special edition on the debate, presented by Claire Rush and Mark Owen. They will be joined by France 24’s journalists Marc Perelman, Doug Herbert and different guests to analyze the debate.
Reactions from all around the world will be provided by France 24’s correspondents in second part to give international reactions and share the perception of the two candidates abroad.

> From 10 pm to 12.30am - Presented by Genie Godula. Polls will be closed but France 24’s special coverage continues. Joined by a team of reporters from around the world and political analysts, they’ll take a deep dive into the result of the presidential election and the different consequences for France’s Foreign Policy for the next five years
