France 24, official partner of the 48th Deauville American Film Festival 

From September 2nd to September 11th 2022

France 24, the international news channel, is a partner of the 48th Deauville American Film Festival (from September 2nd to September 11th 2022). This year, the Festival welcomes, once again, French cinema with a selection of yet to be released movies, in addition to the many American productions presented each year. The channel will bring in-depth coverage of the largest event in France dedicated to American films to its television viewers and digital audience on both sides of the Atlantic and on all continents.

France 24’s journalists will report on the highlights of the festival, whose jury is this year is headed by French filmmaker Arnaud Desplechin. The best of the red carpet, and exclusive content will be to available on Youtube and other social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook).

In addition to reports and live broadcasts in the news bulletins for the opening and closing ceremonies, the biggest stars of this year’s festival will be interviewed on France 24’s culture show: “Encore!” (in English) and “À l’Affiche!” (in French). This programming is available on television and online in English and in French.

About the Deauville American Film Festival: Since its creation in 1975, the Deauville American Film Festival has been both showcasing the diversity of American cinema, from major Hollywood productions to independent films, and continuously revealing new talent. It is organized every year by Le Public Système Cinéma and the Centre International de Deauville and presents over 60 films to audiences in three different sites: the Centre International de Deauville, the Deauville Lucien Barrière Casino, and the Deauville Le Morny Cinema. The Festival is an event open to everyone, professionals and cinema enthusiasts alike.
