Colombians will go to the polls on May 29th to elect their new president, more than 5 five years after a peace agreement was signed with the guerilla FARC movement.
 
To mark this occasion, Inside the Americas travels to Colombia to meet the youth of the country, to understand their hopes and dreams, one year after protesters took to the streets to claim action on poverty, police violence, and education.
 
Genie Godula speaks to this politically committed generation, including Jennifer Pedraza, now elected in Congress, who led the protests in 2021, and Alexa Rochi, a former FARC fighter. France 24 will also talk with José Antequera, the director of the Centre for Peace and Memory, and visit the indigenous citizens who have fled the violence of their region of Choco.
