On March 15, 2011, following uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, Syrian citizens started protesting Bashar al-Assad and his government. What has happened since 2011? Where does Syria stand today? How has the country become a battlefield pitting foreign powers against each other? From March 15 to March 20, France 24 looks back over this past decade of war and its consequences in the region.
