Part 1
Armen Georgian goes to Unit City, Ukraine's innovation epicentre, to speak with Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna about Ukraine's European integration efforts and future expectations. The journey continues through the war-damaged corridors of the Khanenko museum, where the programme explores the war's impact on Ukrainian culture with the country’s most celebrated novelist, Andrei Kurkov, whose work flourishes against the backdrop of adversity.
Luke Brown delves into the intricate web of EU funding mechanisms that have been pivotal in supporting Ukraine during these tumultuous times, ranging from long-standing initiatives aimed at national development to urgent reconstruction projects vital for the nation's healing and rebuilding.

Part 2
Armen Georgian also goes to the northern suburbs of Kyiv, which were hit especially hard in the first weeks of the war: Bucha, Hostomel, and Irpin. He visits the emblematic Dim bakery in Bucha and talks about reconstruction projects with Iryna Hubarets and Alberto Fernandez-Diez, senior representatives from the EU delegation in Ukraine. Further, “Europe now” digs into the poignant story of the town of Borodianka, weaving a tale of loss and revival through the insights of independent MP Liudmyla Buimister.
Sophie Samaille explores the wider ramifications of the Ukraine war for the EU, particularly addressing socio-economic strains and the strategic employment of EU funds to mitigate the cost-of-living crisis. Luke Brown gives insights into EU cohesion funding in Poland and the complex issue of "social dumping” in the logistics sector, to provide an understanding of the conflict's impact beyond Ukraine's borders.
